Principal's Message
I am safe. I am respectful. I am a learner. These three statements underpin the philosophy of James Erskine Public School, a Positive Behaviour for Learning School. The values of NSW Public Education are entwined into all programs offered throughout the school. An enthusiastic staff comprised of experienced and early career teachers work in unison with the highly committed community to promote high expectations across the school in terms of academic and social achievement. James Erskine Public School serves the Erskine Park community and is proud of its part it plays in Public Education. More commonly known as JEPS, our school is an integral part of the St Clair / Erskine Park (STEPS) learning community. We strive to create a warm and caring environment where every member of our school is valued and respected. We use technology to improve students’ basic skills and most importantly, to give them the life long skills of being able to obtain information for themselves. We aim to develop the skills students will need while we promote the values that our school community reflect. Our classrooms are vibrant, exciting places where teachers have high expectations of students. We strive to help our students accept the rapid rate of change which is facing them in the future. It takes a community to raise a child. Mr Les Ridgeway Principal
