Sport is a continuing focus within the school. Throughout most of the year, PSSA is played each Friday, with teams playing other schools within the district.  Students in Years 3 to 6 participate in PSSA. While these teams are away, the remaining students participate in school based sporting activities aimed at developing their skills.

PSSA results are published in the newsletter each fortnight.

Each year the school holds a swimming, cross country and athletics carnival for students who are 8 or older. From school carnivals, a team is selected to represent JEPS at District carnivals and from these carnivals, individual students are selected to represent Sydney West. Students can also be selected to represent Sydney West in a variety of team sports.

Students in K-2 also praticipate in various physical and sporting activities designed to develop and improve their skills.
